Netsurfer

Surf the small web

Pick any topic and swipe through real websites about it, one page at a time - hand-made pages, personal blogs and old-web corners, not the big platforms.

Try the beta on TestFlight

Free, for iPhone, iPad and Mac. The link opens Apple's TestFlight app; the App Store version is coming soon.

Netsurfer's home screen: an Old / Mix / New switch, Shuffle and Following cards, an Explore row of topic categories such as Plants and the outdoors and Music, and a grid of channels such as anime, retro video games, abandoned places and dinosaurs Surfing a channel: Cameron's World, a starry collage of old GeoCities graphics, fills the screen, with Netsurfer's bar at the bottom

Any topic is a channel

Type “abandoned places”, “tarot” or “skateboarding” and Netsurfer finds the independent sites about it.

Old, new, or both

Hand-made pages from the early web, dead ones brought back from the Wayback Machine, or today's indie blogs.

Swipe to surf

Each site is one full-screen page. Save the ones you love; follow the blogs you want more of.

No accounts, no tracking

No ads, no algorithm, nothing kept about you. Your searches go to Netsurfer's own index, which keeps no logs (one anonymous count is optional, and off unless you allow it), and to a few other search services. Privacy policy
